Appointment FAQs

How do I make a booking?

Please call us on (03) 9328 1151 during clinic hours.

Book online through our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are currently transitioning to our new site at Well on Bay @ 130 Bay Street, Port Melbourne.

Do you accept “walk in” appointments?

We do not accept “walk in” appointments, you will be asked to make an appointment.

Can I leave a message if you miss my phone call?

If we are unable to answer your phone-call, please feel free to leave a message with your full name and phone number and we will call you back as soon as possible to organize your appointment.

Should I tell the receptionist the purpose of my booking?

When making your appointment it may be beneficial to indicate very briefly to the reception staff the purpose of your appointment, so that appropriate time can be allocated with the doctor.

How early do I need to arrive for my appointment?

If this is your first appointment with us, then it is advisable to attend approximately 15 minutes prior to register your details in our system. Please ensure that you bring with you your current Medicare card, pension or concession cards and any medical records that you think may be relevant to your care.

How long are appointments?

Normally patients are allocated 15 minute appointments. If there are further issues which you need to discuss with your doctor at the end of the consultation, the doctor may ask you to return for an appointment on another day to address these outstanding health concerns.

Do some appointment types take longer?

A longer appointment of 20 to 40 minutes is appropriate for consultations for any skin procedure or contraceptive procedure, pap-smear, full skin examination, mental health diagnosis, iron infusion or if you need to discuss a number of separate issues with the doctor.

We all understand that sometimes urgent issues require more time with the doctor than anticipated. If the doctor is running late for your appointment, it is most likely because he or she has had to spend extra time on an urgent health issue. If you have other commitments after you scheduled appointment and cannot be late, please advise the reception staff, and they will be able to reschedule your appointment to a time that is more suitable.

Do you do home visits?

Home visits are available to patients with disability in the Port Melbourne local area. If you feel travel to the clinic is unsafe for any reason, please discuss this with the reception staff and they will be able to advise regarding availability of a home visit.
